Project Overview
MHI is a company that is associated with Vestas. They were impressed by the quality of the design, layout, and fit-out of the Vestas offices in Warrington. As a result, Standing Space was invited to design MHI's new offices. Our proposals for the new office space included a large reception area, a suite of meeting/training rooms, a recreation room, a wellness room, and a bistro for the staff to use.
We kept the well-being of the employees at the forefront of our workspace designs. To ensure that the employees are comfortable while working, we installed height-adjustable desks throughout the work areas. This provides them with the option to sit or stand while working.
Building History
BDP designed and built Bridgewater Place in the early 2000s. The development features a pedestrian walkway with landscaping and a water feature, creating a pleasant environment.
Brand History
MHI is a subsidiary of the Vestas Group, and it specialises in manufacturing offshore wind turbines.

Design Challenges
Standing Space worked alongside TJM Projects on this project. The challenge was to divide the space and create team areas within the open-plan office, while retaining an open feeling. Additionally, we created a staff café/breakout area with a residential feel and a wow factor.
